【設(shè)計(jì)意圖】自由談?wù)撃軌蛴行?gòu)建學(xué)生生活經(jīng)驗(yàn)與所學(xué)內(nèi)容的聯(lián)系,幫助學(xué)生熟悉話題,復(fù)習(xí)相關(guān)主題單詞。將聽力文本中的圖片按照發(fā)明時(shí)間進(jìn)行排序,進(jìn)一步激活學(xué)生的相關(guān)背景知識(shí),為聽力做好預(yù)熱準(zhǔn)備,激發(fā)聽力興趣。
Step 3: While-listening
(1) Listen for the gist
Students listen for the first time and choose the most suitable title for the listening text.

Students listen to the tape for the second time and match the time to the inventions:

【設(shè)計(jì)意圖】通過匹配連線以及回答問題活動(dòng),幫助學(xué)生進(jìn)一步關(guān)注聽力文本細(xì)節(jié),重點(diǎn)關(guān)注發(fā)明的名稱、時(shí)間等細(xì)節(jié)信息,進(jìn)一步在對(duì)話語境中理解關(guān)鍵詞及句式表達(dá)。
Step 4: Post-listening
(1)Listen to the tape and read in different roles together.
(2)Role-play
Set the scene that students will participate in different World’s Fair(世界博覽會(huì))of different times (1920s, 1930s, 1950s, 1980s, etc.). They are asked to choose one World’s Fair and work in groups of 4 to introduce the exhibition to each other. Students will make use of the passive voice “…was/were invented in…” frequently and naturally in the communicative activity.

Step 5:Summary
Guide some students to make a summary about this class; if necessary, the teacher then makes supplements. The teacher tells students that they should be able to observe and cherish the improvement of society in their daily life.
Step 6:Homework
Search for information about their favorite inventions, and try to summarize the time and functions of these inventions and share with others next time.
