(2) Scanning for the cities and places
Students read again and complete the following tasks.
①circle cities and places in the passage.
②find out the best time to visit these cities and the reasons. Students can give their answers with the sentence “The best time to visit…is in…, because...”.
【設(shè)計意圖】學(xué)生再讀課文,找出最適合美國各個城市的時間,完成細(xì)節(jié)閱讀,引導(dǎo)學(xué)生用because回答原因。
(3) Intensive reading
Students can read carefully and complete the table. Then lead students to pay attention to the word “so”.
【設(shè)計意圖】通過intensive reading借助表格將文章內(nèi)容進(jìn)行完整清晰地展示,獲取細(xì)節(jié)信息后,再獲得整體感知;提示學(xué)生注意文章中“so”的用法,為后面布置作業(yè)做準(zhǔn)備。
